Assays - Old Dominion, $46 per ton; Woodbine, $4,940; White House, $1,320; Extension James Hebert $880. Four other claims of intermediate richness, all of which are cut by tunnel. Green border, print and vignettes, red seal and underprint. 4 x 9. Printer - Collier & Cleveland Lith., Denver. The Sugar Loaf district is known today as the Gold Hill district, named for the town of Gold Hill located on Gold Run Creek. Fourmile and Left Hand creeks are other drainages in the area. The district had at least 100 mines, none of which are those listed on this certificate, e.g. Old dominion, etc. There is a Columbus mine, but it's located closer to Gold Run Creek than to Fourmile creek, so its connection to this company is uncertain. With assays such as those indicated on the certificate, this should have been a major producer, so its legitimacy is questionable. The district was mainly a gold producer and gold-silver tellurides were the most important ore minerals. Total output of the district to about 1942 was $12 to $14 million (Vanderwilt, p. 319-323). Soiled, torn on center crease and mended with tape that has left dark stain, edges checked and rolled. Poor. Est. $150-300 1217. Boulder. Sugar Loaf. Livingston GMC. Incorporated under Common Law,

The Chicago and Colorado Mining & Milling Co operated an extensive camp south of Ward. This operation was in full swing during the 1890's.
