NEVADA -- Mineral through Ormsby 683. Mineral. Candelaria(?). Photo that could be Candelaria(?), but not positive. The brick building in the scene suggests that the town's activity dates back to 1870's. There are also two wooden buildings flanking the brick one. Buildings in street scene are in relatively poor condition an indication of their age. The background is of mountainous setting common to many of Nevada's mining camps. What is odd is that there is no obvious street traffic, thus we suggest that the town is in serious decline. People visible in storefronts. Blurry carriage passing between both buildings. Came with group of photos related to C & C R.R. but the photo is not distinguishable when compared to photos in Paher's Nevada Ghost Towns & Mining Camps book Matted on gray board, 3.75" x 2.75". xf.
